The International VR League (or IVRL for short) is a VR esports league that was designed, from the beginning, as the most professional VR league out there. Up until the creation of the IVRL, most VR esports leagues were run in a fairly loose fashion, which is not a knock on those prior leagues - there simply wasn't enough interest or investment in the VR esports world to justify anything more than that.

But the founders of the IVRL decided to form their own league as a way of creating the league they always wanted to play in. They were a collection of current and former players and moderators from other leagues, who pooled their collective experience together to create a truly remarkable organization. Theta saw the vision and joined the Board of the IVRL not long after its creation, and has since led their business development initiatives.

In the first IVRL season, the prize pool was set higher than any other VR esports league, and a very high standard of conduct was set for dealing with misbehavior from players, both in-game and out. Given this high level of professionalism and integrity, the IVRL was tapped on the shoulder to handle the VAIL inaugural tournament in the summer of 2022, which was a milestone in VR esports both in terms of total money invested and overall reach.
